Miles Allen (he/they) joined the IDDBA’s Education Department as an Education Coordinator in January, 2023. They host IDDBA’s Tuesday webinar series, manage the Charcuterie Professional Exam, and produce strategies for professional development programming. His career in food service started at a young age working for his family’s restaurant in roles ranging from front of house to baking to dishwashing and more. After exploring other industries including retail, specialty cheese, warehousing, administration, nonprofits, and entertainment, they’ve circled back to their roots with a newfound creativity and refreshed outlook.
